Sarah Markle

I started CrossFit in 2007, looking for something different than the treadmills and machines.  It wasn’t long before I realized this was the best thing I had ever done for myself.  Daily workouts led to a complete nutritional revolution, as I learned about the Paleo lifestyle. I was approaching 40 and in the best shape of my life, hands down. Then came the biggest change of my life, a beautiful first pregnancy at age 40 and I was able to CrossFit the entire time, through the day before delivery.  I am convinced that CrossFit and my nutrition kept me and the baby healthy throughout, and was instrumental in my recovery.

I have obtained the Level 1 Certification as well as the Gymnastics Certification.  My biggest joy is to help others realize this lifestyle, especially how it can improve their overall well-being and health.  I have always been amazed at how life changing it can be, and how we, as everyday folks, continue to push the envelope when it comes to completing the task on the whiteboard.

Cristi Woldridge

Growing up, I’ve always dabbled in athletics from Cheerleading to track and Field. Having my daughter at a young age, I strayed away from athletics and nutrition for many years. About 7 years ago I started getting back in the gym and for a few years this was great. But as happens to most, I started to plateau. After 6 years I got bored and highly discouraged!   I had heard a little here and there about CrossFit and started to look up some of the movements on the internet. I found some dusty Plyo boxes and kettle bells tucked in the corner of my gym and decided to drag them out. I started jumping and swinging and making up my own “WOD’s”. People looked at me like I was crazy but I was excited! I decided to try a free demo workout at CFFM! I went to that demo WOD and it CRUSHED me and I LOVED it! I knew right then, CrossFit was how I needed to train! I joined CrossFit Fort Myers in March of 2012. Not only did I learn how to get stronger and faster, I learned how to properly fuel my body with proper nutrition! I started noticing changes in my body almost instantly! I obtained my CrossFit Level 1 Trainers Certification in October 2012 and joined the CrossFit Fort Myers Staff full time in December 2012! I currently serve as the Membership Director and CF-L1 Trainer.  I am truly rewarded every day that I walk in the door and get to help clients realize they can do things they never imagined possible and the awesome benefits of CrossFit! With outstanding programming, hard work and dedication, CrossFit can be life changing! It certainly was for me!

Paul Markle

I started CrossFit at age 38 and haven’t looked back.  At that time, my lifestyle was taking a toll on my body, as I was fifty pounds heavier, my cholesterol was dangerously high, and some minor auto-immune issues were a constant companion.  As my workout regime began to take shape with daily WODs and many new training partners, my nutrition also began to change as I was introduced to the Paleo Diet.  Within six months, the extra weight was gone, my cholesterol dropped 125 points, and all signs of psoriasis were gone.  The last four years have given me an opportunity to focus on what I enjoy the most, which is lifting heavy objects, and helping others to do the same.  I have since obtained my Level I Certification as well as the Mobility Certification with Kelly Starrett.
